Do You Have a Collection?

I've been known to have a few too many "things". Over the past few years, I have worked to pare down the number of decorative items in my home (many of which are just sitting in my basement). I've made some progress, but when it comes to decorating your home, I think it's important to surround yourself with things you love. Now, maybe not hundreds of things, but a few items that make your house stand out from the rest. For me, I've always been drawn to STARS.

Since I was young, I always saw hope in the stars. Maybe none of those Starlight, Starbright wishes have come true, but looking at a dark sky and seeing twinkling lights beyond our reach is fascinating to me. When I'm out shopping, I find myself drawn to decorative items that include stars. I can't really explain it, they just make me happy.

When it's not Halloween or Christmas, you will likely see stars throughout my home. I have favorite pieces that remind me of a fun day of shopping with a friend or pieces I received from an adored family member. I do add new star decor from time to time, but if I get a new piece, I try to donate other decorations that I haven't displayed in a while.

Did you notice the Sassafras Original's logo has a star in it? It wasn't a random decision. The star in the logo signifies my dream of bringing quality handmade products to people's homes will come true.

Looking at the stars in the sky makes me hopeful. Looking at the stars in my home brings me comfort. What is YOUR thing? What do you collect and have trouble resisting the urge to buy more of? Tell us in the comments!
